Subject: Desert Winds 'Cross Seas.

Desert Winds 'Cross Seas.

Heat,
rolling over desert's soil,
blowing tumble weeds
from one eternity
to another.

Shifting dunes around,
turning them into
desert's nomads,
living and flourishing,
where all others
just give up
and die.

Brushing through
bald branches of a tree
making it remember and long
for the taste of quenching
the refreshing rains
poured down ages ago,
where it still must have carried
an impressive crown
of emerald green.

Breathing upon me,
reaching every single
private spot I possess,
leaving prove
of having actually been there
by means of
an itching sandy
burning kiss,
as if pressed upon my damp body,
by torn lips.

The lonely winds of the desert
come rolling towards me,
carrying the grains of vision
that hurt my eye,
though tears
already were there,
as they floated
from an empty heart.

How sad to see the drought
digesting all that lives;
it makes one understand
the sun not always shines,
in favor of those
who cherish life.

Yet,
it makes my nostrils tremble,
as I taste the salty touch,
it must have inhaled
from the seas between us,
as it carries your love for me
from one beach to the other.

And as my tears plunge
upon my own lips,
I realize the real cause
of the distant
salty flavour...
