Subject: Week 2 off to a good start!

So far Week two challenge is looking good!! I spent an hour this morning pouring over cookbooks and finding several new recipes to try this week. That always motivates me to cook!! Today I tried the floating fruit parfaits in the In the Grove book and they were delicious!! My whole family loved them and I don't feel the slightes bit guilty feeding these to my kids!! (unlike many other things! LOL)

I am doing great on this challenge. I tried two recipes out of the In the Groove book, floating fruit parfaits and the honey lime fruit toss. They are both very good and my family loved them!! I also tried this week to use cereal as a snack item so I have something to graze on, especially when my preschool students have snack it is really hard not to eat!! What I found is that if I graze on a couple of points of cereal and maybe some pretzels that I am not even hungry when it come time for lunch!! I get hungry for a more solid snack about 3, but have something light like a potato and then I have plenty of points for my dinner and a dessert. I have also discovered that cinnomon life is very sweet and is GREAT for curbing my sweet cravings without sending me into a binge of needing something salty, then sweet then salty etc... So far this has been a great challenge, I have learned a lot!! Thanks!
