Pleased to meet you :) I haven't been here for a while, and it's nice to see the forum taking off already.
Thank you for sharing your story with us. In case you're wondering about the name, it's Gaelic. It means "little ancient one", and was often given to Irish children who parent's believed had lived many lifetimes before. It seemed very apt for you!
As for your question about the God, many Wiccan traditions tend to be Goddess focused, some to the exclusion of the God. In several traditions the God is relegrated to mere consort of the Goddess, and in some he's almost ignored completely. This tends to be a reaction to the overall patriarchal focus of other major religions, especially the Abrahamic faiths.
Recently though, there has been a deliberate focus within Wicca to include the God and much as the Goddess. It was the balance of female and male that made patriarchal religions want to destroy Wicca and yet now, ironically, that balance is being pulled in the opposite direction. I myself see this as the way of things. The Goddess waxes and she wanes, but she never truly leaves us. In the same way The God is always there, just as surely as the sun is always there, even if has been obsured by clouds. None of us are perfect, and we never really get things right, but we just need to remember to always be open to The Devine and to worship in whatever way speaks to us. I can never be certain that the rituals I follow are the best way to open myself to The Goddess and The God, but I always know that someone is listening.
