People always say that when you're caught in a really stressful situation you just need to take a step back and look at it objectively. Which is very easy to say but blooming difficult to do. I mean, most people have a hard enough time being objective anyway, never mind while you're in the middle of a stressful situation!

So I tend to use the balloon spell whenever I'm feeling mad or upset, as it helps clear my mind and let me think things out. It's also quicker and easier than meditating if you're stuck in an emergency. I usually leave meditation until the evening time when I can take my time at it. I'm not skilled enough at meditation yet to use it whenever I need to calm down. Visualising your anger filling a balloon could be see as a kind of meditation I guess, but obviously it's not as deeply cleansing as "proper" meditation.

And it is silly! Just picture a 25 year old sitting on her bed blowing up a balloon! Isn't silly the first word that comes to mind?
