I actually have three DVD's on the subject for the exact same reason that you do, which is so that I never forget, and so I can teach my children about it someday.

I have the "9/11" DVD you spoke about, and it is insane to watch.

I also have "America Remembers" which is made by CNN and shows media coverage of the day of, and does a great job of displaying the emotion of Americans as they look on and try to determine what happened. There is one particular place where they have a camera shot of the 2nd plane hit and you can plainly hear a woman scream "Oh my god, they're doing it on purpose!" and everytime I hear that, I have to fight back the tears a little, because I think that is the exact moment we all figured it out.

The third one I have is really quite excellent and it was made by National Geographic. I can't recall the name exactly, but it would be easy to find if you are interested. It is a 2 disc DVD, where the first looks at how Osama Bin Laden was able to rise to power and how the plot of the attack for 9/11 was developed and who was behind it. The 2nd Disc provides a VERY detailed timeline of events of the day. It is the best account from an educational perspective. Although it is impossible to eliminate all emotion from any account of the day, this is by far the DVD that has been able to remove the majority of the human emotion from the events and strictly report the facts.

I bought the three because of the unique perspectives that they offer, and I am glad to have each one.

I highly recommend all three, and United 93 will join my collection when it comes out on DVD as well.
