Rhino, I've said this before, but I feel the need to say it again. You should really be reviewing movies for a living. Movie review, in my opinion, is about enjoyment and passion, and you have both.

Now, onto my 2 cents, which is kind of anti-climactic, after your review but I'm such a glutton for the spotlight, I just can't help it.

As for Jack Black, it must be just me, but I didn't like Shallow Hal or him in it. I thought the movie completely handcuffed him, he didn't get to be "Jack Black." That role should have come AFTER a star-making turn like he has in School of Rock, instead of trying to be the starmaker. Black was such a screen presence in High Fidelity and his scene eating was genius that it made the movie less pretentious and actually watchable.

I read another review of School of Rock (couldn't hold a candle to the Rhinoman) and it said the Dewey role seemed like an Adam Sandler-reject role. I disagree. There is no way Sander could have pulled it off with the power, grace and skill of Jack Black.

Last thing on Black: ENOUGH! My Good Lord, the man is EVERYWHERE! Saturday Night Live, cover of Entertainment Weekly, Monday Night Football and the list goes on, and on, and on AND ON. Hey, I know you have a movie to promote but watch yourself. The public eye is very fickle and will turn on you faster than a tornado in a trailer park. Even my mom was commenting about how he seemed overexposed. This coming from a woman who only listens to NPR (which he was on!) in the car and only watches Law & Order reruns on TV.

Great points I agree with:

Mike White - stay the hell off-camera.

Joan Cusask - oddly sexy.
