But The Bonnie Situation isn't a link or connection, like Madsen and Travolta being the Vega brothers. (BTW, it's meant to be a prequel film. As an aside, how fat can Madsen and Travolta get before Tarantino gets around to it?). It's the same idea he's used again.

If the idea was used previously (like with the Michael Mann example I cited, or the "If Lucy Fell" one you did) then I consider it part of the world of that film. It's established. Using the idea again is theft from that film, and the world it's created.

At any rate I think Tarantino's vastly overrated. He's got great dialogue, but as for putting a story together, he's always found wanting. Even in Pulp Fiction he only really excelled because he put together three short stories.

Reservoir Dogs was good but the theft of a Japanese film, and Jackie Brown was God-awful and only showcased his crush for Pam Grier. Haven't seen Kill Bill, but from reports it's another Tarantino piece of tripe.
