I do not feel that your sarcastic and negative tone was warranted. Plus, I do not feel that you understand the intent of the idea. It would not be a lock for daily access to the rims. The rim lock idea was presented as an alternative to removal of basketball backboards and/or poles (which is very time consuming and costly.) The issue of whether or not the removal of basketball courts will solve all teenage behavior problems in the common area is still being debated. While we determine the best solution and course of action, a non-invasive solution like a rim lock may be helpful. Just think, at first we use rim locks for a week. Then, we remove them. The next week put them on Monday and thursday. Following week tuesday and Friday. Lets just say we have people coming from Hickory Hills to use our courts and they walk all the way over here a couple times to a locked rim. Eventually they will quit coming to check or play unlawfully. Sounds like an idea worth trying to spur the creative process. Versus such a final act as permanently cutting the poles with a blow Torch. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
