All throughout the sonnet he is saying how ugly the girl that he loves is. At the end of the sonnet though, he completely turns everything around. He talks about how his love for her is uncomparable to any other love, no matter what she looks like. He's basically saying that love is not something that is skin deep. Love doesn't look at the outside, it looks at what you are really like on the inside. That summarizes Shakespeare's love for this "ugly" woman.
