Diction in this sonnet is used very wisly to create a sense of imagery. By reading the sonnet it is understood that teh diction has created the sonnet to be about the season of winter. In the sonnet, words are used like dark, bare and cold. And when these words are spoken, the season of winter would usually come to mind. The way this sonnet is written, with it being dusk and almost dark and cold, only fits the sonnet to well. The time being dusk and the season being a cold one it only works together like two puzzel pieces. If it were to be, the morning in winter and it being dark and bare, it wouldn't make that much sense, or have that much meaning. But the way tis written hear is needed to cast a sense of imagery and an eerie atmosphere to the reader.
