Maybe, for a start, you should get yourself a Tamiya modelkit first. (no joking!).
(1/32 A6M5, itemno.60309). The Tamiya modelkits ussually come with excellent line-drawings!
Also the book 'Zero fighter' by author Robert C.Mikesh, publ. Jane's, ISBN 0710600372 (1981), with absolute top quality drawings by Rikyu Watanabe!
