In reply to: Zangs 's message, "Atlantic City here they come" on Thu, Jul 10 2003, 7:33:48 PDT

We won't be leaving until Saturday morning. It's only about a 7 hour drive (or so) down to Atlantic City so we'll be arriving in plenty of time for the show on Saturday (it's at 9:00). We plan on leaving for breakfast by about 7:00 am so we should be on the road by 8:00 am. I wish we were leaving tonight or tomorrow so that I didn't have to go to work tomorrow but that's the breaks, I guess.

It's probably for the best, too. Neither Jean nor I enjoy gambling so we'll only have to find a way to pass the time on Sunday instead of 2 days. Of course, Dad and Connie will have no problem since they both like to play the slots. I did that for about 20 minutes - 1/2 hour when were in Las Vegas. I can assure you that that was the most boring part of the whole trip. I can't say the worst since there was the flight delay which almost made us miss our connecting flight, the thought that our luggage had stayed behind in Phoenix (of course it was the last 2 pieces out) and the cab drive from Logan who took us on a scenic tour of metro Boston that cost over $30 (the trip to Logan was only about 1/2 that) and then complained because he only got a $0.13 tip. Then hetook our luggage and put it in a snowbank. And people wonder why I'd rather drive somewhere than fly?????
