Author: northern illinois ring club
Subject: training seminar/decoy seminar

Northern Illinois Ring Club will be holding a French Ring Training weekend at K-9 Country (15607 Phillips Road, Hinckley, Illinois) starting Friday, April 23rd through Sunday, April 25th. We will be opening our doors at 12:00PM on Friday for anyone wanting to camp out for the weekend. There is plenty of space for tents and campers or you can crash in the notorious “Chicken Coop/ Party House”. K-9Country is a boarding facility so there will be ample kennel space to house your dogs indoors. Unfortunately the closest hotel is 20 minutes from us (Baymont Inn, 3085 Lincoln Hwy., Aurora 630-899-7695) but they do allow dogs.

We will start working Saturday beginning at 9:30AM with NARA certified Level II decoy Adrian Moreno. Adrian was the 1999 and 2000 Canadian Championship Decoy and 2001 Decoy of the Year. He will be holding a decoy seminar for any decoys interested in becoming certified by NARA. This is a great opportunity to work with the best. We will be focusing on decoy rules, trailing technique, proper pressure, targeting and much more!
$75 per decoy
*lunch included for decoys
LIMIT 10 DECOYS
We will be looking for dogs to use for this seminar. Anyone wanting to help us out by bringing their dog for use during the decoy seminar will be greatly appreciated. It’s your opportunity to pay back your much loved decoys!!

Sunday, April 25th we will be holding a Mock Trial/Handler Seminar headed by former NARA president Glenn Salamanca who was also 1999 NARA FR II Champion and 2001 NARA FR III Champion. We will focus on handling skills and trail rules. This is an awesome chance to get pointers on trial handling from an experienced competitor. We will be running through a dog in white beginning at 9:30AM and then continuing by working with each dog and handler team to spot handling errors and to prep for competition.
$75 per dog/handler team
*lunch included for handlers
LIMIT 15 DOG/HANDLER TEAMS

These spots will be going quickly! Please do not hesitate to call for reservations!
