That's always a tenuous statement, but if anyone ever visits here that once knew me, I'm still alive. lol

Waiting For -----

On this winding, forgotten road
beneath a barren tree,
We rest from our exhaustion
--there is nothing to be done.

Vladimir and Estragon
that's what we call ourselves
smug in our pretension,
but blinded by the sun.

And here we wait at trickles' pass
for he, who is to come
beat upon and put upon
but never do we run.

Though we are not rivulets,
we prefer to muddle through
static in our actions,
we keep our profiles low.

We turn our nose at Pozzo's rope,
filled with sanctity,
weeping over Lucky's fate,
we've no where else to go.

We contemplate the now leafed tree,
(we like to fool ourselves)
for we are waiting, always waiting
forever waiting for our Godot.
