I wouldn't underestimate her ability to turn violent
too, in this type of situation it's better to be
overly careful.

I am new here and I need some help. I have been reading the boards and enjoying them. I started reading this "Maria" thread and became very concerned. First, let me make it clear that I am not her. I would not consider myself a "bunny", more likely "friend" material. I am interested in a certain player in my area but not in a romantic way. I am a hockey fan and season ticket holder and attend most of the home games. I know this player has seen me at the games and possibly remembers seeing me at a couple of team practices over the summer. I did approach him at a practice once, chatted briefly and asked for an autograph and he was very nice. I have sent him a few cards and small gifts. I have never seen him out anywhere or done anything I would consider "stalking" but I am worried after reading this thread. I would hate to think that this player is scared of me or thinks I mean him any harm. My intentions towards him are purely respectful and I admire his playing but now I am starting to wonder. Should I not let him see me at the games or attend any team events or signings? Should I never write to him ever again? I am so upset to think that my actions may be misconstrued. Please help.
