I wish I would have known about support groups and I wish I would have turned to God long ago for help. I am now 39 and had an abortion when I barely turned 20. I was given some horrible advice one time to picture a box with a key and place it (the thought & regret) in the box lock it and then, throw away the key. I didn't realise until I was 37 that I had this large black hole within my soul that was never going to heal unless I released it, brought it to surface, and dealt with it. I was actually at a spiritual retreat when God opened my eyes to what I had hidden so long ago. Since then, I have realised that now I must try to help other women who have had abortions. This pain that you are feeling is real and needs to be healed. Deal with it now Sweetie before you lock it away and it comes to surface later in life.
