Despite being painted in awful Arriva colour the bodywork styling is virtually timeless, and they are unique to Derby (I think? Does anyone know if this type operate anywhere else?) They definitely should be preserved, personally I think locally they are as iconic with Derby as the Routemaster was for London. Sadly, I'm guessing that their 22 years of service is in its twilight years. Particulary if the Arriva drivers' were mentioning "Getting rid of more Volvos" is a sign of future plans.
