Although the battle of opinions on what should be done rumbles on, it has almost certainly been decided that the bus station will be demolished and the area rebuilt on - with only a section of the area being used for its current use - buses.

I must apologise for not updating the bus station page on the site. The latest plan for the bus station site is for it to be demolished, and a multi-storey building to be built in its place, comprising of ground floor riverside pubs, a casino and several apartments, aswell as other things that at this point in time escape my mind. This is the latest in a long line of plans.

Many letters have been written to the Derby Evening Telegraph by the derby public, but it looks like the current Derby Bus Stations days are numbered. Some of the letters, if not all, can be seen at the following address http://www.thisisderbyshire.co.uk

Hope it is of interest and thanks for visiting the site.

Matt
