*he raises his head, curling his top lip back. he catches jewel's scent on the breeze and suddenly breaks into a gallop, following it into the trees. he catches a glimpse of golden-hued pelt, a flash of creamy tail, and lets out a triumphant whinny.* gotcha now, my fine girl! *he speeds up, soaring easily over a log with sinewy forelegs neatly tucked.*

*he raises his head, his black mane flickering over his dark eyes as he notices which way the wind is blowing. he turns slowly until he catches her scent again and leaps forward. he charges through the trees and soon catches up with her. he piles on the speed and pulls up beside the pretty mare. his head darts out and he nibbles her sleek rump lightly before spinning, clods of dirt and damp leaves flying everywhere, to gallop off back toward the meadow.*
