The post- hardcore heroes pay a brief visit to Europe kicking off at the
Reading/Leeds festival in support of their recently released major label
debut 'The Artist in the Ambulance'. Get to these shows if you can it's
gonna be monstrous!

"NO SELF CONTROL" IN STORES NOW!
The Planet Smashers rank among North America's premier Ska / Punk bands.
Their repertoire of original tunes and energetic stage shows have catapulted
them into the forefront of the underground music scene. "No Self Control"
the bands 4th full -length release and their first proper release in Europe
is out now via Golf. In their native Canada they are firm concert favorites
from coast to coast, they regularly play to capacity crowds that number in
the thousands. Their first three records have sold over 40,000 copies. "No
Self Control is a darker sounding CD with sarcasm, wit and irony.

The bands NEW album "Mighty" will be released via Golf on September 22nd,
this album has just hit the desks at the office and its not been off the CD
player yet, features Neville Staple of the Specials.Their fifth full-length

Subb get European release via Golf 25/08/03
Subb's new record "Daylight Saving" is the killer full length follow up to
"Until the Party Ends" (STOMP Records) and is set to rock your world.
Recorded over a month at various amazing studios (including the legendary
Morin Heights) Subb kicks it into high gear. "Daylight Saving" features 13
tracks of eclectic punk rock and ska gems. With influences ranging from
Jimmy Eat World to Buju Banton, Sub's unique brand of melodic punk and ska
is sure to please their legion of longtime fans and gain a massive new
following.

Taking influences from both early punk rock as well as classic ska bands,
Subb has been a mainstay in the Quebec independent music scene. Their first
full length release "The highstep to hell" came out in 1997 on Underworld
Records and received critical acclaim from fans and critics alike. Now jump
to March 2000, when Subb released their long awaited follow-up "Until the
party ends" on Montreal's Stomp Records. This record was a new chapter in
the bands young career with its mix of raw energy of punk rock with sweet

Fiftynutz's killer 2nd album gets European release via the Golf label. This
band play very powerful slick Emo Pop Punk and this album has some killer
songs on it - the song for the Video track "Great Expectations" is a sure
fire hit, the video ain't bad either!
The band have been busy in their home country of late with appearances on
the Warped tour a full Canadian tour with Subb and a support slot ot
labelmates the Planet Smashers. This is a great album and watch this band go
go go. Fiftynutz will have "The Last Word".

DOWN BY LAW
"Windwardtidesandwaywardsails" sees a return to Down By Law's punk rock
roots. Switching seamlessly from deeply personal and introspective slower
tracks to raging political speed punk and tongue-in cheek humor
"Windwardtidesandwaywardsails" takes the listener on an emotional
rollercoaster ride that leaves them breathless and wanting to go again. When
punk rock broke and bands cashed in on fashion trends, Down By Law stayed
true to its ideals. While everyone else played The Forbidden Beat and wrote
songs about farts, Dave Smalley was penning songs about feeling lonely and
out of place, afraid and uncertain. He wrote about finding strength in being
apart from the larger culture, and turning the loneliness and alienation of
individuals into unity and mutual respect. It's clear that Down By Law is
the only real claimant to The Clash's legacy, and that legacy is the
admission that we may be isolated and lonely, we may be alienated and fucked
up, but revolution can only begin in the mirror. We have to change ourselves
before we can change the social structures that oppress us. Like Mick Jones
and Joe Strummer before him, Dave Smalley acknowledges that politics stem
from personal experience; we have our beliefs because of what we know and
how we grew up. All politics are personal, and everything personal is
political. And this is why Down By Law is one of the few bands that matter -
the personal and political are inseparable in the music.
"Windwardtidesandwaywardsails" is no exception to this rule. Incredibly
crafted songwriting and addictive musical arrangements make this the best

Times are changing at Gash headquarters. Now as a 3 piece line-up they have
taken their music into a much heavier and darker direction which sees them
dropping their former skate punk moniker and leading the way into a more
aggressive musical approach. The results of this change in their live
performance have been amazing, winning over crowds all over the country with
the help of new songs 'Broken Finger Grip', 'The Inhumane Remains' and
'Another Day'. Gash will be performing their new material everywhere until
the end of the year and making their first venture into Europe in October.

In December later this year, Gash will perform with their current name for
the last time on the 'Gash is Dead Tour' with support from The Misnomer.
Jay, Jon and Matt all agree that the name Gash no longer represents the

Guitar player Greg C Pearson will be leaving Mr.Zippy after the band's
September tour with Caffeine

Mr. Zippy will be heading out on the road in September with London punks
Caffeine in support of their album Ambition is Critical. This will be the
bands first tour since Mads fractured his ankle in 3 places in May. Catch
