aye did better then the marvin in terms of first gig sucess. rob you are also correct we did used to record practices etc with just a mini disc player. ended up making a tape of a few songs to give out to the odd person before we started playing. I wonder who actually has one of those still? and another thing, i wonder who has a copy of the e.p. there wernt many of those around either. i agree that this new band need encouragement and practice. i also agree that getting some professional recording time probably is not the best thing to do right away. its expensive and the band is not well knowen enough to make these costs back through selling cds. get a mini disc player and record songs that way, play with where the mic is in the room until things sound even. even try to borrow a 4 track. mini disc record suprisingly well. all these comments people have made about recoding are in no way a put down, its just simple MONEY saving advise.
