I'm mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore!

The first Lehigh River release is long gone from the dam, 650cfs Saturday, 400 Sunday, when the proposed plan called for 750-1000 Sat & Sun. We must email and complain to the Lehigh Working Group that their plan isn't working.

Tell them you want 750 cfs or nothing! 400 cfs is not whitewater!
This is most important, we must have quality whitewater! The
commercial companies that sell trips pushed for two days of
water and should be embarrassed sending anyone out at 400 cfs.

Tell them to turn on the dam on during the night to preserve water,
The dam master turned it on Friday at 4pm and wasted a
tremendous amount of water. We were assured they would
preserve water and they turned it on early.

Tell them we need a formal study to determine how much water can
be stored in the reservoir while mitigating downstream flooding and
how best to use this water for recreation?

Tell them we need quality dependable whitewater or the Lehigh will
be the River of least satisfaction and lost opportunities forever.

Send your emails to the Army Corp, DNCR and Pa Fish & Boat, names and addresses are listed below. They have asked for our input and ideas, let's send them some, please be courteous and respectful.

Please pass this information along to all groups and clubs that paddle our Lehigh, we need to be heard, again and again.
