I personally don't like any style that shows belly. Ruffles are best for a slim child; use verticle stripes for a chubby child. Forget super stretch; it's not worth the money. You can get a classic look in other fabrics for much less money. Super stretch is a poor seamstress's cop out. This fabric is forgiving and will cover their measurement mistakes which you are paying for. Stiched in creases in pants are a poor choice for small children or even an older child who gives an active proam modeling. These creases won't stay in the center of the leg and when they're twisted really make the garment look less than perfect. Also, consider pants with no side seams, that's just one less seam to twist and ruin the garment. Good luck with your choice.
