問老鼠鯊魚一個就業問題

論問在本港會計行業的僱主眼中,特別是如big4等大公司.以下兩種畢業生邊一種較受歡迎.

1.澳洲新南威爾斯大學(UNSW) 會計系畢業生
2.城市大學會計系畢業生
3.浸會大學會計系畢業生

第1項的優點是出自名校,且因曾留學而視野較廣.
但是2,3項則有對本地和中國市場有深厚認識的優點.

請問師兄,若本人想在本港市場發展,在這三個選擇當中應如何取捨?

等我同班會計佬傾下，八下先。因我不是會計界人士。不過有一樣野你一定要去問，讀完個degree可以exempt多少張papers。讀完會計唔考牌等於無用。

另外，雖然UNSW出名，但有很多香港人讀。若你只埋香港人堆，未必是一件好事。

若在香港讀書，未必一定可以中國市場有深厚認識。中國地大，每處地方文化相差可以很大。連我在中國"游"左咁耐，都唔敢講對中國市場有深厚認識。例如，在廣州用一套營銷手法相當成功，在西安就未必行得通。

不過，會計，財務，精算，工程等是專門的學科，若未讀過的話，入行是相當困難。但同時亦可以說，外人很難入行所以飯碗易保d。

就業方面,其實accountant就算charter到,做死一生auditing就有排都搵唔夠吃.而精於商業既更冇人會做死audit一範.
請問chartered accountant 在商場上通常有何發展?
而也有一說法云:生行街,死掌櫃.
chartered accountant在business field 之出路會否比General BBA or Econ graduate狹窄呢?

讀accounting 不只是只做auditor。首先，你可以check下上市公司的高層有多少人不是chartered accountants? 通常，一間大企業的CEO的出身，一係做account or Finance ，或是 from Marketing department. 但good Marketing persons 並不一定讀Marketing 出身。
另外，讀完大學只是一個楷段，考到個牌是另一個階段，一個會建立自己career path 會不斷學習新知職，及networking去適應新氣候。記住，accounting technique 只是你踏出社會的第一把刀，但一把刀通常都不夠。讀accounting 同精算，工程，科學等是外人難去入行取代，但general subjects, such as general business, marketing, HRM....你打開報紙進修欄，有多少General MBA, MSc in Marketing....are being offered? 我讀完chem 都可以走去讀。

絕對不是，很多人的Career Path都是先讀Accounting，根住考牌再chartered，之後再讀MBA去補番business field 不足。可不可以reverse the order? The answer is yes, but.....你會冇左入Big 4 的機會(因為Big 4 tend to hire fresh grad). 同埋，你可以計下，當你Chartered 果陣會係幾多歲？

My Choice is 澳洲新南威爾斯大學(UNSW) 會計系 and later, get a Master Degree from Universities of Hong Kong (for example, MBA from either UST or CUHK)
