I was employed if thats the right word in the Station Armoury with Ted Pope. and was a good friend of Neil Moran Airframes.Jock Vine and Andy McLeod. If you have the photo taken of the group of us on the "Devonshire" i'm on the back row with the light hair! Iwas also in the Jungle Rescue team with one of your mates, a tall ginger haired lad who I believe came from your part of the world. I live in Lancashire on the edge of the Dales. Hope you receive my eMail Best Wishes,

Norman.

My father, Jim Chapman, was a wireless operator at Negombo in 1952. He was good friends with Geoff Jopson and Derek Jones. He travelled there aboard the troop ship "Empire Orwell".
