Greetings from British East Reading. I sailed to Aden in the Nevasa during March/April 1962 on an RAF posting, calling at Malta & Port Siad I am not sure if it was her last trip but there were far fewer service personnel on board so we did not have big queues during meal times and apart from a slight swell in the Bay of Biscay it was a pleasant voyage. Hi All,
Sailed on Nevasa to Singapore mid 1961. I understood that it was her last trip as a troop carrier, but apparently not.
It was a fantastic voyage, one I shall never forget or regret taking.
I have so many memories of her - some funny - none of them sad.
My wishes to all who knew her.
