On my father's war record it indicates he left Melbourne 29/12/40 on H.T. Mauretania and was transhipped onto the H.M.T. Nevasa 15/1/41 arriving Colombo (Cylon - Sri Lanka) on 31/1/41. I believe the Mauretania was hit by an enemy torbedo on this vogyage, but cannot find a reference to that incident.
