Some interesting comments regarding El Adem,

I was there from 1957 to March 1959 and worked in the Orderly Room. I have yet to see any comments regarding the old ambulance that was on the M.T Scrap heap. So, for the record that was the ambulance used in the film Ice Cold and Alex..in which John Mills starred...... ,

I worked in the Supply Dept 160 - 1962. I had a twin brother and was involved in the scout troop in Tobruk. I remember the Hastings crash in October 1961 and donated blood to one of the survivors - a British Sergeant who was found in the desert the following morning. In 1975 I walked into a bar in Kitwe, Zambia and got talking to a fellow imbiber and he turned out to be the guy I had given blood to!! Many beers ensued as we were truly blood brothers.
