Figured it out! You previously signed up for another list that uses listbot.com, so they have you on file there already. In order to add another subscrtiption to your email account (of newsletters who use the listbot service like I do)they need your password. You can request your password at the listbot home page at www.listbot.com ! Sorry for the confusion!
