The initial predictions I made about A Raisin in the Sun only partially came true. I predicted that Walter Lee would steel the insurance money from Mama and that Ruth would not have the baby. Though Mama gave Walter Lee the money, Walter, instead of putting it into various band funds, gave it all to Willy Harris. In this way Walter deceived his mother and did something almost as bad as steeling the money. Hansberry does not give a clear answer as to whether or not Ruth will have the Baby. I did however, inferred from the implicit details of Mama and Ruth’s conversation that Ruth, because the family had a new house, was going to have the baby.

I found the final scenes of A Raisin in the Sun very moving and I was left with the feeling of needing to connect with my roots and family. I would definitely recommend A Raisin in the Sun to friends because it has memorable characters that most people can relate to, and important morals.
