I understand your frustration at not liking the end of A Raisin in the Sun, Katie, about being disappointed with the ending of A Raisin in the Sun. Sometimes when I read books I want to know what happens at the end. However, in the book A Raisin in the Sun, I felt that by not giving us an absolute ending, Hansberry was sending a powerful message to her reader. The message was that it doesn’t quite matter how things turn out. Rather, the way you got them that way.
