I enjoyed the ending. I think that it ended suddenly. I thought that it would be longer and they would talk about their life in their new house or if Beneatha gets to be a doctor. Other than that, I think that it was really good. It showed their families' unity and how they all got together.
I'm not sure if my dreams came true or not. I thought that Ruth was going to have the baby, but she didn't. I was really sure that Beneatha was going to with Joseph to Africa and become a doctor there but they didn't say anything.
I would recommend this play to any of my friends who I think would enjoy it. It's a good portrait of how life was like back then when there was prejudice. You can learn a lot from this book that will come in hand in life.
One of the final messages that I got from this play is that it's never too late to start over. In this play, many characters start over. Mama and Walter in particular. Mama finally gets to move into a house of her own and Walter becomes a man and the head of the family. That is only one of the messages that I got from this excellent play.
