One of my many final thoughts about A Raisin in the Sun have to be about Ruth. I seriously thought that she was going to have the baby at the end of the book. Actully, the book ended sooner than i thought. They really did not mention anything about them living in the new house (the setting), and how it effected their NEW lives. I was axious to hear about how Ruth felt to start over a new life, and not be as stressed as she was in the old apartment.
Actully, none of my inital predictions came true, I thought that Ruth was going to have the baby at the end of the book, but it never happened. Also i thought that there was going to be another setting. I thought the new setting would be at the new house. I would have liked to have seen a sequal to the play A Raisin in the Sun.
I would definatly reccommend this book/play to my friends who read most of the time. If i would have reccommended the book to my friends who dont read alot, they would not read it.
One of the things i learned from reading this play has to be, be thankful for what you have, even though it might be little. Because some people in this world, are poorer than we might be. This book gives you a chance to think about being thankful for what you have. It makes you feel fortunate to be thankful for what you have. It made me feel like i was in the position of a black person, like Walter Lee and the Youngers. They want alot of things, but they dont have the money. So it made me feel just like them, and being in their position.
