Hello my name is Cynthia and my Grandfather was Born in Las Minas, TX. His name was Fabian Liendo Jr. I was reading one of the posts and it mentioned a gravesite with a Jose Liendo. I believe that was my grandfather's brother. He was related to Tiole Liendo, cousins I believe. He talked about how his dad's family came to Minera and established themselves there. My grandfather's grandfather Jesus was a freighter from what I read off the 1900 Census. His Father Fabian was a freighter and then became a miner in 1910. Then on the 1920 census I show that my great-grandfather Fabian and his dad Jesus became butchers. Then in the 1930 census it shows that they owned a Meat Market in Dolores. In the 1930 census it showed that my grandfather Fabian Jr and his brother Alfonso were farm laborers. The Internet is a wonderful thing to look up family that you never met and get to know a part of them that your parents didn't even know. The only thing that I really disagree on is why they charge sooo much to view this kind of Information?? Its a car or house payment. Well I think the county should have a public domain where we can look up stuff like. So for the cemetery in Dolores I would really love to see where I can look up information on it to find out if my great-great-great grandmother Maria and my great-great grandmother Maria are buried there. As for me I moved away from Laredo in 2003 and when we moved here to Dallas we bought our first computer. I learned how to use it because of my children. They taught me how to look up stuff and thats where I found the geneology sites. I love it and will continue to look up more ways of finding out information on my mother's side of La Familia. Los Liendo's.
