Subject: How to assemble????????

It looks as if spring has sprung and its time to get my butt in gear to actually build an offset BBQ. I've got the 1/4 in wood templates for the flat metal pieces i need to cut. However, after thinkin about how to do it, I'm not sure as to the best way to assemble the smokin chamber and fire box to the support frame. The combined weight must be at least 150 lbs.

Do i build a wood frame to support the smoker/firebox and then attach the frame underneath or suspend it from the garage by ropes??? Do i build the frame first and them have a couple of drunk friends hold it while it is welded into place???

As the body of the smoker is only 16" wide, should i rake the supports outward to provide a more stable base???

Any ideas from those who have done this before????

Thanks...Evan...
