Yes, this not only sounds very familiar, but also is the law. Please check with an expert, such as outreach staff at the Luke Waites Center at TX Scottish Rite Hospital for Children or SMU's Disability Accommodations and Success Strategies department. I believe if you have an educational evaluation at age 16 or older, its findings apply to college.

Like you, my child also is in her first year of college and received her original diagnosis for dyslexia in 1rst grade from TX Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Her last evaluation, done after 10th grade, has been accepted by her current university. My understanding is she will need no other evals for her time there as an undergraduate. But always check the law yourself!
