i am 17 and still havent had a proper diagnosus. i am in college and hoping to go to universty but not sure if i will make it. All the way though primary school i was told i wasnt trying hard enough and always told to try harder and although i was showing many symtoms of dysexia i was never tested. In high school it was picked up i had promblems and a number of tests were done they were only to ases my reading and spelling age. i was pulled out of my nomal lessons to have extra support and was given help in exams. though it felt like i was beening pointed out as not beening nomal as extra time students sat at one side of the sports hall and then at least 2 desks space away from the rest of the year so everybody new. Aithough when i enrolled at college the high school had sent reports about my "promblems" to the school with a asement that had been made about me by a person i had never met. Now the college has told me i am dyslexia and i have help in my exams and they have spoken to my tutors to make them aware of my weakness. altohugh i am still struggling to keep up with the rest of the group i get alot of help from my friends as they give my copys of their notes and the tutors now understand more.

i feel the schools have let me down as if i was told earlyer i could of had more help and wouldnt feel like i am thick. the school mainly primary schools dont try and help.
