 My boyfriend has type 1 diabetes and I am always worried for him. He goes through really bad depression stages and he has to wear his inslin pump 24/7. This is a sort of private thing but he has been having some trouble being sexually saticfied in the bedroom. Is there anyone out there that knows if his diabetes has anything to do with it? Hey Nikki, I am Type 1 as well, and 21 (Had it for 11 yrs) First let me tell you that seeking advice and trying to help and understand him shows a lot of love for him. Ok to the point. His Blood sugar levels have a big effect on his moods. When your B.S is high, you feel tired, irritable, and frustrated. Also, he might have clinical depression, Diabetes sucks for a guy big time and its hard to move on when you can't do the things you want. Try talking to him about how it feels to have Diabetes and you'll get an understanding from his view. And lastly, the problems in bed (I had those too). That is the cause of his B.S being out of wack. Either too high, too low, or just bouncing around a lot. Keep in mind the probs might not have to do with his Diabetes so keep your mind open to other possibilites. If you need any other help or other questions please email me: bikerbomber@hotmail.com
