Got to live in an old castle for over a week - up on a hill, with walls several meters thick. Someone had painted thistles on the ceilings in one room. My job was to pick out colors, paint the uneven walls, radiators, doors, move furniture, care for the plants, clean...
I heard stories of the knights that used to live there, some ghosts were still floating around. There's an old well that was dug up and then the owners found that there is an old escape tunnel thirty meters deep.
I loved staying there.
There's also salty hot springs in the area.
The neighbors would come and invite me for dinners and whisky, wine and beer.
A hawk is living on the side of the castle. She would ogle me and then fly away.
