What an adventure you two had on your boat trip that was supposed to take you to Musgrave Island. Something to remember for sure!

The wedding went off without a hitch as far as I could tell. Your sister looked lovely and gave a really nice 'toast to the bride'. We particularly enjoyed the opportunity of seeing the "Wardroom" at the Equimalt C.F.B. Such a beautiful view from the lounge and dining area. Lerato & Kurt were so lucky to have a perfect day weatherwise for their wedding. And talk about a happy pair - they fairly glowed. The only person who maybe didn't think it was such a great day was Liam but he actually survived very nicely.

It was Nancy and Bob's 28th Anniversary and Nancy had gone shopping in the morning and found a beautiful blue sheer dress with a sheer jacket. Also new shoes. She looked lovely as did Bob who also had on some new finery. G. & G. attended an NDP Federal fundraising dinner at the Fireside Grill the week before and they had a silent auction. One of the items was a B & B on Saltspring preceeded by snacks and drinks at another house. Lo and behold we were the last ones to put in a bid and got it! That was our gift to your folks and they are quite looking forward to it. By the way the speaker at the dinner was Jack Layton the new Federal NDP Leader. He is dynamic and seems to know exactly where he is headed. Has a good reputation for working with other groups.

Cathy & Loyd phoned last Sunday on their arrival home from a fantastic 3 weeks in Italy. I believe they are coming over this weekend.

Liam is a darling. You will find it hard to believe how much this little guy has accomplished since you left last Feb. I get to visit with him fairly frequently and he always seems happy to see me.

Bet you gals got a few blisters and sore spots with the kind of various types of work you were doing in bundaberg. We enjoy checking out the various places you go and certainly are beginning to look forward to your return although I know it wont be for a while yet.

Autumn is in to her second camp. She and 3 other cooks are cooking for about 160 tree planters at this one. This camp is out of Mackenzie. She has one more stint in the first camp and then will be coming home. The money is good and the experience great.

Thats it for now. Oodles of love from these two ooold grandparents Penny & Ted
