I had a similar incident last weekend (5-13-01). A halfling warrior type asked me to take all of my stuff off and show it to him in the trade window, because he was thinking of creating a ranger character.

I began to show him my things when I realized that my inventory was pretty full. I was in the EC tunnel entrance to sell after all. So i checked my inventory and had 6 slots open in one of my packs. I put 6 items in the trade window and he told me to fill up the trade window.

When I told him that I only had six slots for things in my inventory, he canceled the trade telling me to never mind.

He then went to a nearby warrior and said the same thing in a private tell. I know this, because the warrior said in standard tell,"Let me get this straight. You want me to take off all my stuff and show it to u?"

I was glad I only showed six items. If a seventh item had dropped to the ground, it would have been a scramble to get it back before the guy picked it up. Just wanted to let all the folks know to watch out for some of these con artists.

Also, been having a good time with Macao and Mareth in Crystal Caverns. Come on down Non; we'll cover you. ;-)
