Subject: Sporting Biography

I am a junior finance major. I was born and raised in Gaithersburg, Maryland. As long a I have been able to walk sports has been apart of my life. I started playing sports as a young boy playing soccer as most people do these days. When I was 11 I stopped playing soccer in favor of football in the fall, and baseball in the spring. In high school I played only football. I was the captain of the JV team my sophomore year, and again on Varsity my senior year. For my first two years here at Maryland I was an equipment manager for the football team. And starting in the fall I will become an assistant coach at a local area high school for there JV football team. On top of any of that, I am probably one of the biggest Washington Redskins fans there is in this great country of ours. In the past 8 years I have only missed three home Redskins games, and that was because Maryland football required my time. When I am at a Redskins game, or any sporting event for that matter, it takes me away. I feel that I am in a place where no one can touch me. Where I am free of all else going on in the world, and I feel that most people feel that, which is the main reason why sport is so important to America. And lastly, be sure to watch the Maryland game tomorrow night at 7:15pm on ESPN2. GO TERPS!!!!
