Hey everyone! My name is Jessica and i'm a Junior Kinesiology major here at Maryland. I plan on going to Chiropractic school at some point after I graduate! :) I'm from Olney, Maryland, which is only about 30-40 minutes away from College Park. Sports have always been a huge part of my life. When I was younger I played softball from the age of 8 until I was 14. During that time I also rode horses and competed in shows and other competitions even up through high school. I gave up softball when I entered high school because I became a cheerleader. It was sort of a tradition in my family to be a cheerleader once you entered high school so I wasn't going to let the tradition stop with me! I absolutely loved cheering for our football team every Friday night especially since we had one of the best teams in the state. I also made it to other sporting events not only to just see my friends play but because I love to watch sports, especially guys soccer and lax! I have also been skiing since I was in 6th grade and a couple of years ago I started to snowboard when I was in Colorado and immediately fell inlove with it! Besides my own personal involvement with sports all of my aunts and uncles played many different sports while they grew up and I got the chance to watch them play which is why I became so interested and excited to become involved with sports. A couple of my unlces even got recruited by the Texas Rangers and some NHL teams! Aright guys! Hope everyone had a good weekend and I'll see you all in class!
