Subject: Sports Biography

Hey, my names is Charles Holley but everyone calls me CJ. I'm a junior broadcast journalism major with an interest in sports broadcast. I love to play sports but I'm much better at some than I am at others. I've found that I can be a passive participant in just about any sport from football and basketball to tennis, soccer, and lacrosse. I'm most passionate when Maryland sports as well as the O's (they stink), the Ravens (got whooped today), the Wizards (suck more than the O's), and the Buffalo Bills (don't ask) are involved. Pretty much I get into sports for the excitement and entertainment of it but I would like to make it my profession. Currently I broadcast sports for the campus radio station WMUC (shameless plug: you can listen to our broadcasts at www.wmucsports.com), this season I'm the sidelines reporter for our home football broadcasts (not as good looking as Lisa Guerrero but I know Ramsey never played for the Jets...). I'd like to some day get paid to do what I do for the radio station now, doing live broadcasts, so in some ways I could view sports as personal economics for myself.
