Thanks Gizmo.I believe that there are many hard heads on this and other forums that appreciate informed debate.
My weakness has been and probably will remain financials. But there are many that do have strengths in that area that also have been caught short by the severe losses that this company has wracked up.
That is why the institutions have left ERG alone.
We all knew this one is high risk and there would be many unpredictable rises and falls.

I stand by my research that has by and large proven to be correct.
The contracts have been won when most doomsayers were predicting otherwise.
PWI however has not to date won any significant contracts. It principal source of revenue remains with licensing agreements held by Visa etc.It is continuing to lose money.
It also requires cash injections to finance R&D.
The loss of the Netherlands as I posted was a blow. OK ERG could not finance it. But given that PWI is based in Belgium one expected that it was a certainty to win. I did.I expected political considerations to win out there.
That it didn't was a cause for concern. PWI has offered many deals that have not been accepted by companies outside of the alliances.
Those deals appeared to be very generous.
We know that ERG has 20 a year licence agreement that supports my understanding that it will continue to offer the best AFC's in the world.
That market is huge.
The major loss for the long term is PWI's critical mass, 40 million scards.
The positives are that ERG will have a robust balance sheet complimented with a growing critical mass, 50 million scards.
That alone is a very strong foundation. They expect to double that within five years.
The multi-apps will be applied - by 2005 these scards will add significantly more revenues.Their technological superiority is undiminished.
But for now how ERG's shareprice performs is anyones guess.Next week should offer us some idea of just how the market responds.
With a long term view current prices ARE cheap. A short term view they may be expensive.

(Voluntary Disclosure:No Position Short Term rating: Long Term Rating:)
