Hi Everybody.
During the Xmas break, we would like to continue the refurbishment work we started in the summer, towards improving the facilities at the Club for us all.
To that end, I would appreciate your help to do the work, starting on the bank holiday Monday 27th Dec.
We will continue through that week with the aim of getting as much done as we possibly can.
Can I ask you to come back to me and let me know if you can help, and on which, or all days.
As Dai did for us in the summer, I want to schedule the work and make sure we have got everything we need to do the jobs.
Priority 1 will be to power hose clean the dressing rooms and corridor from top to bottom on day 1.
Priority 2 will be to repaint each of the dressing rooms and corridor + re-varnish and repair if necessary the benches and replace any missing coat hooks on day 2.
We need to repaint the Hall and 1860 suite, both ready for New Years Eve and to make sure it is up to standard when we hire it out. This hiring out activity produces a significant amount of revenue which is used towards paying for the costs of running the Club.
We have some outside work to do by the brook, to improve the drainage, which Tom will supervise
The intention is to get rid of surface water and make the pitches better for our use.
We also need to do whatever cleaning up of the car park & drive that we can, of leaves and debris from the autumn
We need to sort out rubbish from the storage containers at the rear of the Club to improve the efficiency of our operations.
Further, we have obtained a new container which we intend to convert to an auxiliary dressing room, for use when we have congestion of 3 or more home games and at the start and end of the season when we cross over with Cricket.
This container is located on the hard standing where the scrummaging machine is stored.
Finally, we would like to erect two new telegraph poles on the pitch by the side of the brook, so that we can add additional flood lighting. We have all the equipment, we just need to put it in place.
Can you please circulate this message around you contacts / squads / sections of the Club, to generate as much help as we can.
Thanks in advance.
KP.
Regards,
Keith.
