Hi! To Ian McDonnell, I remember your family, the church you spoke of, Speke Penticostal,The Vicar emigrated, and it was empty for some time, and was eventually demolished.I remember Bewley's mobile van, he first started out with a handcart selling fish,I lived in Upton Green for 40 0dd years,a Mr Russell and a Mr Charles Both Lived in The Green and both played musical instruments, the young lad, who you said practised to become a star,as you know George Harrison the young lad made it,he used to practise on many occasions with the two men in Mr Russell's house.Living near you was Kenny Gilligan, and the Ruggle family from Upton Close moved out, and young Ruggle died some years ago,I remember the Italian woman she never cleaned the front step from the outside, she used to kneel in the lobby and clean the step that way,she was a buxom whench, and gave the local lads a treat, you no doubt remember Councillor Tom Higgins,he used to live next˙
