That "All Good Things" was the main turning point for Madeline in terms of her attitude toward Michael. She was indulgent (and maybe even protective) of him until that point -- but after AGT, he was the enemy.

I'm not so sure her change in attitude had very much to do with Michael's ability to work well with Nikita -- I think it was more that Michael made it clear he wasn't going to listen to Madeline's advice the same way Operations had. And if Michael didn't see her as useful, that in turn was a pretty good sign that she wouldn't have a very long lifespan in Michael's Section.

I therefore believe that by turning against Michael, she felt she was fighting for her life. Going after Michael's relationship with Nikita (something that Madeline had tolerated *better* than Operations in the past) was less about opposing the relationship per se, and more about seeing it as the one weak spot of Michael's that could be exploited.

It's a fun topic to think about, though, isn't it? All sorts of intriguing possibilities....
