of this ep! There is so much that occurs that I believe really drove a lot of the motivations of the characters. Of course, Paul caught on a little later just how dangerous M & N could be together. Madeline, being the perseptive woman that she is, caught on immediately to the immense problem that she and Paul would be facing.

It's that perception that makes Madeline fascinating to me. I would love to say that I am good at reading people - but I'm not!!! LOL Her ability to read a sitaution before it even becomes a situation astonishes me.

And I think Nikita learned a lot in this episode about what it would be like if Michael were to be Operations. And I don't think she liked what she saw. So, going with the whole 'Nikita is a mole for Center idea' I think this gave Nikita great pause in terms of if she really wanted Michael to be Operations. He was quite ruthless and single-minded. He believed tha he had to get Bergomi and nothing else mattered, not even Nikita's opinion. He even told her that inside of Section she should keep her opinions to herself. Now if I were Nikita, that certainly would have pissed me off.

Even Walter told Nikita, "Look Michael is Operations now, he can do whatever he wants." So that made me wonder even more what Paul was like before he became Operations. He is a passionate man, with a deep belief system; so how hard was it for him to adapt to the position of Operations? And further...Adrian had been in charge before Paul, she seemed to rule with a gentler hand (if you believe her at the end of S2) so how did Section adapt to Paul's leadership?

Wow, told you, I just love this pivotal part of LFN here near the end of S3. Really great stuff. Boy I still miss it so much.

Thanks for listening.

Mary
