I agree, that Nikita without a "Madeline-like" partner/advisor was in a much weakened position, similar to Paul himself once he lost her.

She also wasn't really experienced enough to take the job, but the whole organization seemed pretty stripped of mid-level leadership by then. Took eating their own way too seriously......

I think its quite possible that she failed, and Section failed with her, and also failed her ..... but not because she wasn't smart enough, or strong enough, or motivated enough. Or because she was still 'naive' or clinging to some idea of saving everyone, or whiny or stupid or weak or bossy or clingy or selfish or unwilling to listen and learn, or whatever else is on the various lists of inherent character traits that many of the Nikita critics, of various stripes, have listed. *g*

Not that I feel strongly about it, or anything.... ;-)
